We are looking for you,

**QC Laboratory Chemist**

to our Technical team in Neste, Tuas Singapore.

In this job you will work closely with Laboratory Superintendent., You wil focus on supporting the analytical methodology/ plant samples through experimental study. You are to maintain and improve current lab quality and safety management system through lab operating concepts, practices and procedures.

**Your role in our team / in creating a sustainable future**
- Setting-up and validate of new analytical method
- Study and advice on variation of different feedstock impact on existing analytical methods
- Handle the enquiries of analytical method and propose alternatives if necessary
- Identify and evaluate new analytical equipment with vendor/supplier to support new changes to the plant
- process
- Carry out assigned projects from time to time
- Participate actively in all continuous improvement and innovation programs
- Conduct regular check on quality control chart to ensure validity if results and compliance to company
- and ISO quality standard.
- Leading of lab non-conformance investigation which involves quality and safety incidents.
- Introduce and simplify lab practices and procedures being used and verify they are technically correct.
- Maintain complete and accurate review of test results
- Advise on the significance of test results and follow up with appropriate course of actions
- Liaise with service provider pertaining to out-sourcing test, instrument servicing
- Ensure all instruments are well maintained and calibrated as per schedule
- Assist in troubleshooting of software / hardware issues on analytical equipment
- Review lab results which include calibration and performance check results
- Assist in maintaining the ISO quality and safety standard and its related activities
- Maintain labs document and data recordings and ensure these are quality compliance and audit ready
- Ensure all activities in lab are carried out safely.
- Be the Permit Applicant/Endorser/Approver for task and activities carried out in the lab area that requires Permit to work
- Conduct non/routine safety inspection within lab area
- Supporting of new laboratory start-up activities, including pre-evaluation, selection and validation and setting up of new equipment/methods
- Handle ad-hoc tasks or projects as assigned by lab superintendent from time to time
- LIMS super-user

**Keys to success in this role / The best combination to succeed in this role**
- Minimum degree Chemistry, Chemical Process Technology or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience preferably in chemical, petrochemical or oil & gas industry will be an added advantage
- Hands-on experience of laboratory instruments / equipment
- Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
