
Operation Manager

Role Purpose 1. To takeup te role as Operations Manager (Waste and recyling Collections) to deliver a high-quality Waste Collection service, in line with the company’s Vision and Values.
2. To be responsible for all Waste Collection issues within the allocated geographical area, ensuring the delivery of required levels of productivity and quality in accordance with KPIs and company expectations.
3. To lead by example, encouraging a positive work culture for all allocated operatives and drivers. People Management
4. Lead and direct operational staff to provide an efficient, effective and safe service to clients, encouraging each employee to take responsibility for all aspects of work under their control.
5. Ensure that all subordinate staff are inducted and onboarded properly and are aware of relevant Health and Safety policies, and company's expectations regarding Vision and Values.
6. Assist the Director to deliver the service in line with KPIs and in accordance with company's Vision and Values, seeking to identify improvements to current ways of working in order to deliver a more efficient and effective service for customers.
7. Ensure that all operational staff are booked in and deployed according to daily deployment sheets each day and that scheduled work is completed on time and in line with the required standards.
8. Ensure that contractual monitoring of Waste Collections performance is undertaken using the equipment provided and feedback passed to Line Management/Administration department as instructed.
9. Deal with all complaints ensuring full resolution and correct feedback to the client, resident or line manager.
10. Work closely with HSEQ and Training Manager to ensure that a culture of Health and Safety is embedded in Waste Collections and that all the Health, Safety and Environmental policies are complied with by all subordinate employees.
11. Ensure all drivers and operatives observe site and public area safety rules: enforce the wearing of correct uniform and protective equipment.
12. Ensure that the mandatory number of Health, Safety and Environmental inspections are carried out. Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements relative to this post. Knowledge of current legislation relevant to the post Supervisory or Team Leading experience. 13. Ensure that incidents, accidents and close calls are reported and notified in line with the company’s procedures.

Prepared to adopt a flexible approach to undertaking broadly similar duties in other sections as the workload demands.

**Qualifications**:
1) Valid Singapore driving licence or equivalent. Good standard of English and numeracy in order to communicate effectively and perform basic calculation.
2) Relevant experience and knowledge in recycling / waste management field will be preferred
3) Diploma or higher educational level
