Senior Executive/executive

The Senior Executive / Executive is part of the Antimicrobial Resistance Coordinating Office (AMRCO) team and supports the implementation of the National Strategic Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), developed by One Health AMR Work Group (MOH, NParks, SFA, NEA and PUB). This national plan is in line with the World Health Organisation, Global Action Plan on AMR, and provides a national framework to strengthen and enhance activities to combat AMR, address identified gaps and prioritise future interventions.
- The Senior Executive / Executive will execute and facilitate the coordination of antimicrobial resistance efforts between AMRCO and the vertical units (research, training, epidemiology and laboratory) within NCID and with One Health Work Group members.**Responsibilities**
- Assist the Department Head and Deputy Director/ Assistant Director/ Manager in carrying out the functions required under the National Strategic Action Plan (NSAP) on AMR
- Coordinate amongst the One Health agencies, the AMR efforts across the animal, human, food and environmental sectors
- Development of AMR content for the public and healthcare professionals, such as social media posts, media releases, newsletter articles, website content, posters, videos and brochures
- Liaise with institutes of higher learning (IHL) to map the science curriculum to ensure inclusion of AMR related topics
- Work closely with Ministry of Education and Health Promotion Board on AMR education opportunities for students and the public
- Craft and implement the AMR communication strategy working with internal and external stakeholders for World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW)
- Administer the tracking of AMR media coverage and continuing professional education
- Planning and support of AMR training initiatives and events such as the Inter-Hospital Webinar Series
- Support healthcare institutions and One Health agencies AMR events, including purchase of collateral, training, and AMR unified messaging
- Work with the Agency of Care Effectiveness (ACE) in the development of a urinary tract infection (UTI) guidelines for primary care physicians
- Engagement of community, private and public institutions in collaboration and partnership
- Provide secretariat support to department and national committee meetings (e.g. arrange meetings, prepare agenda and presentation materials, take minutes etc)
- Execute any other adhoc activities required under the National Strategic Action Plan on AMR
**Requirements**:
- Preferably 2-5 years of relevant work experience in public health with focus on communication, health promotion and policy work
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and skills to understand research findings and AMR-related data
- Detail-oriented and ability to coordinate effectively between a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders across the various sectors
- Team player and able to reprioritise workload to meet changing situations
- Exercise professionalism in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information
