**Responsibilities**:
- Manage a team of software developers and oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, project managers, and senior leadership, to understand software requirements and priorities.
- Plan and prioritize software development projects, allocate resources, and establish project timelines and deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to software development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
- Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and continuous improvement in software development processes.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to the development team.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate third-party software solutions for integration into the organization's software ecosystem.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Software and Application Manager or in a similar leadership role within the software development domain.
- Strong technical background and hands-on experience in software development using modern technologies and frameworks.
- Proficiency in software development methodologies, such as agile, and familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet project deadlines.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing development teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving innovative solutions and continuous improvement.
- Experience with software quality assurance and testing processes.
- Knowledge of database management systems, cloud computing, and cybersecurity practices is a plus.
- Fluency in Mandarin is a plus point as some of the team members are based on China R&D Center
- Willing to travel to China at times to work with China R&D team
