DESIGNATION : Manager (2-year contract), Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Global Innovation Immersion (GII) Programme and Overseas Work Study Elective (OWSE)
- Develop market penetration strategies for new GII markets including an assessment of potential partners that can accelerate the scale of the internship programme.
- Develop workplans and budget required to achieve the KPI targets set for the various GII markets.
- Source and manage external partners, such as local & overseas IHLs, overseas incubators and accelerators, mentors, trainers, relevant logistics partners (e.g. visa agents).
- Work with the marketing team to develop campaigns to raise the profile and student interest for GII programme.
- Plan and conduct events such as information sessions, bootcamps, mentorship, networking and pre-departure briefings.
- Manage and monitor the budget of the programme and ensure compliance with the funding agency guidelines.
- Monitor, review and analyze the performance of the GII programme regularly for management reporting, ensuring tight management of milestones and progress of the programme.
- Student Clubs Management
- Oversee, mentor and guide student leaders in the areas of club governance and finance to establish credible student-led clubs in SMU.
- Supervise and coordinate programmes /events budgets and workplans of the student clubs.
- Oversee, mentor and guide the selection process for student clubs’ executive committee, and participate in student clubs’ board meetings.
- Develop and conduct regular reviews and assessments of student programmes /events to meet education and I&E interests.
- Monitor, review and analyze the performance of the student clubs regularly for management reporting, ensuring tight management of milestones and progress of the student clubs.
- Provide administrative and financial support when the student clubs tap on SMU or IIE’s resources.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in areas such as business, marketing or related fields.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented and team-oriented with a strong desire to be successful.
- Able to think creatively and problem-solve in high pressure situations.
- Strong work ethic as well as a dedicated and positive attitude.
- A keen sense of ownership and accountability and act with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
- Think beyond own area of responsibility examining linkages and interactions between different parts of a system.
- Humble, authentic, value hard work, has high standards and outcome driven.
- Strong knowledge of budget, grant administration and financial management principles.
- Up to date with industry trends in the innovation and entrepreneurship eco-system.
- Prior experience working in a startup, or knowledge in innovation and entrepreneurship and partner in China development will be viewed favorably.
