The Innovation and Technology Transfer (ITT) Division is instrumental in spearheading innovation by formulating innovation strategies and providing enabling environment and resources for students, academic staff and industry partners to ideate and co-create innovative solutions, to help industry, in particular, the local SMEs move up the innovation value chain. It also drives innovation by setting up domain-specific Applied Research Centres (ARC) in SIT to address industry challenges. It supports the academic staff by sealing collaboration agreements and manages Intellectual property portfolios in their pursuit of research and innovation with the industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the development and delivery of innovation strategies, initiatives and programmes to bring in innovation projects for the academic staff.
- Identify and develop new industry collaborators as well as cultivate existing industry collaborators as SIT’s preferred partners for innovation projects.
- Ability to package projects with complementary expertise from the various domain-specific Applied Research and Innovation Centres in SIT to offer a bundled deal to industry partners.
- Seal collaboration agreements with negotiated Intellectual Property and licensing terms.
- Ability to organize and execute large-scale virtual and physical events for instance roadshows, industry events, tradeshows, hackathons, demo day, and SIT’s own industry events.
- Track and measure the effectiveness of each innovation initiative/programme and identify the key success factors.
- Evaluate sector conditions and industry data to review and improve on innovation initiatives.

**Job Requirements**:

- Minimum 8 years of industry experience familiar with the local SME environment, as well as the innovation initiatives/programmes/centres in the various research institutions and institutes of higher learning.
- Familiar with national strategic research initiatives and funding support from government agencies.
- Strong industry knowledge in one or more of these sectors namely, Community Health Transformation, Energy Resilience, Sustainable Food Innovation, Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering and Maintenance and Sustainable Maritime Engineering will be preferred.
- Enjoy working closely with industry, academic staff and students in an educational environment and believe in educating the new generation of students.
- Good experience in both marketing campaign management and event management (physical and/or virtual) will be preferred.
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve goals and success in tasks assigned.
- Proven ability to drive team engagements in a tough and time-pressed environment.
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-moving environment.
- Have good persuasive writing and communication skills, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
