**Regional Market Access Manager, APAC**
The Market Access Manager, APAC is accountable for developing strategies and execution plan for achieving optimized patient access for Bayer pharmaceutical products across all reimbursed, mixed and self-pay markets in the sub-region Asia-Pacific, in close collaboration with the regional commercial organization and country market access teams.
The significant heterogeneity in the region in terms of country economic status, healthcare delivery infrastructure, and practice of medicine necessitates skillful customization of global plans by country and payer archetype, and often within a country. Anticipating and addressing payer (HTA and non-HTA) requirements, overcoming patient affordability barriers, and shaping the regional health policy environment are other key roles of the job.
In addition, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring patient access activities enable sustainable business, and highest level of compliance in pricing decisions.
**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Patient access in APAC**
- Develop market access strategies for pharma brands for all countries in the region through strong commercial awareness, technical expertise, strategic thinking and influencing skills.
- Ensure timely and comprehensive communication and implementation of global access strategy and deliverables to the countries in the region; lead and facilitate trainings and best practice sharing, and provide coaching to countries in tailoring global market access plans and materials.
- In conjunction with the global PAP Centre of Excellence, support the development and roll-out of patient affordability programs in the LMIC countries.
- Partner with country to optimize engagement with trade partners, wholesalers and patient groups to maximize patient access and brand aspirations.
- Drive programs and initiatives to enhance market access capabilities and acumen especially in the developing markets.
**Pricing governance and implementation**
- Accountable for managing the global pricing approval and reporting process for the region, including implementing pricing policies, cross-country risk evaluation and sustainability assessment.
- Responsible for pricing governance and compliance, and ensuring all decisions are consistent with the relevant SOPs, guidelines and directives.
**Shaping global market access plans and deliverables**
- Ensure APAC access needs and requirements are fully assessed and addressed in global pricing and reimbursement strategies, with special focus on affordability and sustainability.
- As assigned, represent RMACS countries (across all regions) on selected Brand access strategy teams, and task forces to ensure country needs are proactively discussed and incorporated into global access plans and activities.
**WHO YOU ARE**:
- Degree in Science or Business. MSc / MBA is ideal.
- 5-6 years experience in the pharmaceuticals industry in marketing, market access or medical affairs, experience in Asia/emerging markets is an asset.
- Strong leadership capabilities, innovation driver, and change agent.
- Proven track record of optimizing collaboration and alignment across cross-functional/cross-country teams; ability to effectively partner and communicate across multiple cultures and geographies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrix organization.
- Strategic thinking, superior analytical capabilities, project management skills.
