**Claims Analyst - Subrogation & Recoveries**

Singapore

In this hybrid role, you will focus on managing all claims subrogation opportunities (60%) followed by supporting the facultative reinsurance process (40%) across all lines of business. This will include working closely with the Asia claims team, Ceded Re, Credit Control teams and externally with lawyers, recovery agents, reinsurers, brokers, etc, all whilst ensuring the best-in-class service to our clients. This role will report into the Claims Operations Lead, Singapore.
- This is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity _regime._

**What you’ll be DOING**

What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Identify potential claims subrogation opportunities in-conjunction with claims account managers across all lines of business.
- Investigate and gather evidence to support subrogation claims.
- Appoint and manage lawyers and recovery agents.
- Negotiate with third parties, including other insurers and legal representatives.
- Monitor and follow-up closely on subrogation progress.
- Maintain records and report on subrogation activities and outcomes.
- Close collaboration with Asia Claims Team.
- Sharing best practice within AXA XL and AXA GI (One AXA Collaboration)
- Tracking of recovery funds to gauge the profitability.
- Supporting Ceded Re with providing updates and documents on all new claims for their onward submission to Reinsurers/Brokers across all lines of business.
- Retrieving and providing supporting claims documents for existing claims.
- Review data furnished by internal Credit Control and Ceded Re and/or external Reinsurers/Brokers.
- Maintain and diarize tasks to ensure that claims are kept updated so that they can be dealt with efficiently, timely and in accordance with corporate objectives and targets.
- Ensure claims are handled in line with Global Claims Handling Guidelines.
- Participate in and contribute to internal claims projects focused on improving team efficiency, productivity and alignment with organizational objectives including but not limited to contributing to the company’s profitability.
- Regularly driving greater engagement with brokers/ clients to gather insights aimed at improving our superior claims service including but not limited to Brokers Academy, Claims Academy, and market presentations for the Asia region.

You will report to the Claims Operations Lead, Singapore.

**What you will BRING**

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant insurance qualifications preferred.
- Equipped with claims subrogation experience will be desirable.
- Sound knowledge of key product line(s) and regulatory environment.
- Up to date appreciation of the technical requirements of the role
- Proven ability in identifying and analysing problems, creating good solutions, deploying sound decision making skills.
- Proven track record of knowing what it takes to provide a consistently first class customer service internally and/or externally.
- Ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally.
- Effective report writing skills, ability to develop and present ideas and reasoned arguments clearly and concisely to various audiences.
- Effective communication skills, a confident and articulate presenter to internal/external audiences, exercising appropriate discretion in dealing with people from all levels of the Company.
- Effective attention to detail and a meticulous eye for identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies in data entry or data outputs.
- Able to organise self (and others if applicable) including effective scheduling, prioritisation and time management skills, completing tasks to tight deadlines. Demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Comfortable taking ownership for own work, identifying the need for action (using initiative) whilst working effectively within a team.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; specifically, Excel (including ability to manage if not write macros), Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.

Desirable Knowledge and Skills
- Experience in a Financial Services environment.
- Demonstrable evidence of interpreting and manipulating data clearly and accurately with the ability to articulate key points.
- Displays a resilient and adaptable style, track record of remaining calm in demanding circumstances, adjusting comfortably to changing conditions / priorities.
- The role would suit a highly driven self-starters, with a desire to challenge and deliver.
