**Meet the Job**:
As Head of Marketing APJ you are a key member of the APJ leadership team. Together with your team you elevate our brand and awareness in the markets and position of Backbase as the thought leader for Engagement Banking in all our go-to-market segments. You thrive on empowering and growing a passionate team as a player/coach, helping them raise the bar while growing their careers and doing their best work ever.
You take ultimate responsibility for the aggressive growth agenda for our marketing activities in the region, with a strong focus on demand generation. You will develop and oversee the delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy (awareness / thought leadership / campaigning / events / PR). You drive responsibility for the prioritisation, planning and execution of marketing initiatives within APJ. You're passionate about bringing a fast-growing B2B Enterprise SaaS FinTech to the next level.
You are a marketing leader, deeply familiar with account-based marketing, demand generation and a brand builder who knows how to scale high-performance marketing teams across multiple regions.

**The Job in Short**:
- **Team Leadership**:
- you build a high-impact marketing team through coaching, mentoring and recruitment. As a highly organised and people-focused leader, you organise the regional teams for success with clear objectives and accountability, optimise the operations of the department constantly, and drive a positive can-do, creative and collaborative culture within the teams.
- **Go-to-market Strategy**:
- Based on the annual go-to-market strategy and sales plan, you drive the vision, strategy and execution of the marketing plan for ASEAN, ANZ, Japan/Korea. You do this in close alignment with the sales leadership team and partner ecosystem. You know how to set and hit ambitious targets with a strong execution focused mind-set.
- **Demand Generation**:
- you are responsible for driving the demand generation, optimising all our PPC efforts as well as engagement and conversion of our website. In doing so, you collaborate with the global growth marketing team in Amsterdam.
- **Account-based Marketing** - you lead integrated Account-based Marketing programs in close alignment with the regional sales teams as well as the global ABM team. You know how to drive scalable best-practices into the execution of your teams.
- **Brand Awareness & Thought Leadership** - To accelerate our impact in the market, you support the Backbase PR, awareness, storytelling, thought leadership and brand perception activities to ensure Backbase is top-of-mind and strongly positioned for the target segments we're focused on winning.
- **Stakeholder Management**:
- with your stakeholder management skills, you constantly seek strong alignment with global and regional teams, to ensure your teams are set up for success. You stay connected with the global objectives and initiatives coming from the HQ team and are the driving force to execute them through your regional leaders.
- **Strategic Initiatives**:
- You drive strategic initiatives yourself. You know how to balance short-term progress versus long-term strategic impact. You develop and execute the Field Marketing short and long-term roadmap.
**How about you**:
- 5+ years of experience in a role of similar scope of leadership and responsibility.
- Enterprise B2B SaaS experience essential. Bonus: a deep understanding of the Fintech landscape and ecosystem. However, a can-do mentality is of more importance than many years of experience.
- You have excellent strategic marketing planning skills.
- You have deep experience with Account-based Marketing at scale
- You have a good understanding and experience with the modern marketing stack, which includes Salesforce, 6Sense, Marketo, Groove, LinkedIn and various PPC channels relevant in reaching B2B audiences.
- You are a proven people leader who empowers others, holds them accountable, and gains satisfaction from their success. You bring solid experience recruiting, growing and coaching team members into the next generation of leaders
- Proven experience in setting priorities in response to changes in market and strategy and creating/driving a strategic, growth-oriented agenda
- You bring creative and brand leadership. You're detail-oriented and coach your team to push deliverables from good to great.
- You are street smart and digital savvy. Proven to be able to do more with less. A true team player, hands-on and self-motivated, able to drive progress and hit deadlines with your team.
