**Our Client**

Our client is publicly listed on one of the stock exchanges in SEA with multiple strategic business units (BU) spanning across power, agribusiness, real estate, banking & financial services and insfrastructure. They are looking to hire an experienced sourcing & trading specialist for their power BU in Singapore.

**The Role**

Reporting to AVP, Procurement (commodities), you are responsible for providing commercial support for sourcing activities related to coal. This may include pricing, vendor selection and management, and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders on pertinent commercial and operational requirements.
- Responsibilities: _

Sourcing Management
- Take, place, follow up and, as needed, stop orders for coal or other related commodities in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Complete and update contract summaries.
- Maintain purchasing documents, files, and records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Proactively coordinates with internal customers and suppliers to resolve purchasing supply issues; expedite outstanding purchasing orders to ensure delivery requirements are met.
- Processes financial data and documents for the purpose of supporting A/C departmental activities.
- Resolve potential conflicts between the Group and 3rd parties (suppliers, customers, and shipping).
- Anticipate and mitigate risks and take initiative in proposing alternative solutions to issues.

Data Management
- Evaluate/Analyze current procurement activities and recommend improvements.
- Update the changes to related business standard practices and interprets procedures to faculty. Review and monitor data for all pertinent business units, liaise with the team for corrections in order to maintain completeness and accuracy of purchasing data.

**Your Profile**
- Diploma/Degree in Business or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in commodity trading operations, exposure to coal is highly advantageous.
- Good working knowledge of Import/Export procedures, INCOTERMS, and International Trade is required.
- Familiar with documentation and order processing, a good understanding of procurement practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of GAFTA will be an advantage.
- Familiar with MS Word & Excel (PivotTable, VLOOKUP, Match, Index functions).
- Meticulousness and attention to details.
