We're searching for an editor to lead The Drum’s coverage of the Asia-Pacific region. Working with The Drum’s global editor, they will be responsible for devising and delivering an editorial strategy that sets The Drum apart in APAC and captivates our audience across the region. This role requires an experienced editor with the determination to drive a team forward and the knowhow to uncover great marketing stories that make our readers hungry to return day in day out. They must be a highly skilled writer, editor and speaker, with deep knowledge of the marketing business and a proven track record in leading outstanding editorial teams.

With bases in London, Glasgow, New York and Singapore, our award-winning journalists inform and inspire readers, delivering first-class content across all mediums. There’s a lot going on at The Drum. In addition to the website, we host award shows, live events, complete content marketing solutions, video production, peer-to-peer learning networks, and supplier finder services.

**Responsibilities**
- Planning and implementing The Drum’s APAC editorial strategy in partnership with the global editor
- Building and managing The Drum’s APAC editorial team
- Ensuring our coverage is alive to the key trends shaping the marketing business in APAC
- Working with colleagues in audience growth team to grow our APAC readership
- Making sure our readers see the finest examples of commercial creativity emerging from APAC
- Overseeing The Drum’s daily APAC newsletter
- Representing The Drum at industry events including our own
- Participating in panel discussions and video interviews as required

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience leading a high-performing editorial or content team to success
- A track record of planning and delivering high quality editorial content and campaigns
- Impeccable writing and editing skills
- Understanding of reader analytics and ability to put findings into practice
- Ability to work independently but collaborate with a growing global team when needed
- Articulate public speaker, confident moderating in-person and on-camera sessions
- Deep knowledge of the marketing and media industries and an appreciation of the importance of creativity
- Experience in scaling a team would be desirable
