Overview

APAC Crypto & Digital Payments Editor - Singapore at Bloomberg News. We lead the way in breaking news and analysis on financial markets, with coverage spanning intraday to in-depth features. We are known for quality, accuracy and delivering news investors can use. This role involves coordinating and shaping coverage across the crypto and digital payments beat for the APAC region.

Responsibilities

  • Edit short- and long-form copy, from concise bullet points to ambitious enterprise pieces.
  • Work closely with reporters across Bloomberg’s global newsroom to develop and refine stories.
  • Cut through jargon to make stories accessible to a broad financial audience.
  • Communicate and negotiate editorial priorities with a wide range of stakeholders worldwide.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of recent business journalism experience as an editor.
  • At least 5 years of recent experience editing stories on cryptocurrencies.
  • Experience working in a real-time news environment.
  • Strong news judgment and the ability to craft concise, clean prose under deadline pressure.
  • Proficiency in creating and editing charts and working with data.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work in a large, fast-paced newsroom publishing high-visibility stories across multiple platforms.
  • Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree or degree-equivalent qualifications.
