**Freelance Manufacturing Consultant**:
**Location**: Singapore (Hybrid / Remote)
**Engagement Type**: Freelance / Advisory Consulting
**Industry**: Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations

**About the Role**:
Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing sector, is looking to engage a highly experienced **Manufacturing Consultant**on a freelance or advisory basis. This role is suited for a veteran professional with deep operational know-how and a track record of driving transformation across production, plant operations, or supply chain systems.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Advise on plant optimization, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and cost-efficiency strategies.
- Support leadership in evaluating factory layouts, automation opportunities, and capital investments.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend solutions for throughput, quality control, and downtime reduction.
- Provide guidance on workforce planning, compliance (e.g. EHS, ISO standards), and digital/Industry 4.0 transitions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build performance metrics and align operations with business goals.

**Ideal Background**:

- 20+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership, plant operations, or industrial engineering.
- Deep understanding of factory processes, production systems, supply chain interfaces, and manufacturing KPIs.
- Experience in both traditional and advanced manufacturing environments (e.g. electronics, precision engineering, FMCG, automotive).
- Familiarity with Singapore’s manufacturing ecosystem and regional operations in Southeast Asia.
- Strong advisory mindset, with the ability to engage at the board and operational levels.

**Engagement Details**:

- Duration: Project-based / Retainer (scalable to business needs)
- Flexibility: Hybrid or remote, with periodic site visits as needed
- Compensation: Competitive and based on scope and expertise
