**About the Cost Controller role**:
You are a business partner with assigned business units such as Fleet, Port Operations, and Procurement & Logistics, with a focus on cost controls, reviews, and reporting. You will partner closely with the business units and other finance teams to ensure accurate cost analysis, variance explanations, and other finance requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The job holder will be assigned the position of Cost Controller and may have, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

- Liaise with planning discipline to develop the work breakdown structure (WBS) in accordance with company procedures and as per project requirements.
- Establish the project baseline budget based on the budget allocated in the tender.
- Liaise with corporate to set up Project Information Management System (PIMS) for external cost reporting.
- Liaise with corporate treasury for forward planning and hedging as required to minimize/mitigate currency exposure.
- Prepare the Estimate at Completion (EAC) by liaising with various project disciplines.
- Review the EAC with the department manager.
- Present the EAC to upper management for approval and formalization.
- Provide monthly financial updates to the finance department.
- Review the internal and external cost reports prepared by Sr. Cost Controller.
- Ensure timely submission of invoices and follow-up for prompt payment and effective cash management.
- Ensure timely approval of the time sheets.
- Respond to internal and external queries on cost-related aspects.
- Incorporate the contract amendments and variations in the pricing.
- Set sales orders in SAP.
- Lead the commercial department meetings with the client.
- Conduct commercial awareness sessions for the managers and the leads.
- Any ad-hoc support as needed for the project and tenders.
- Handle internal and external audits on cost control functions.

**Work experience requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree with 15 years (or master’s degree with 13 years) of experience in commercial/cost control functions for Logistics and supply chain projects
- Must have a very good understanding of cost control functions.
- Preferred to have entire project cycle experience.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying, or Finance.

**Other skills**:

- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have the ability to prepare and present reports/analyses.
- Must have a strong sense of accountability and urgency.
- Must have strong business acumen.
- Must have strong leadership, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Must be details oriented.
- Must be willing to travel internationally
- Ability to perform overtime work as required
- Ability to quickly adapt to new IT tools
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of official data and documents
- Ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
