We are seeking a talented Climate Resilience and Sustainability Manager to lead strategic initiatives to enhance climate resilience and drive sustainability across Coastal Engineering Management. In this role, you will manage cross-functional teams to implement climate mitigation strategies, develop nature-based solutions, and ensure CEM’s sustainability goals are aligned with evolving climate policies and frameworks. You will act as a bridge between technical expertise and executive leadership to foster innovative, sustainable solutions that future-proof business operations and enhance community and environmental resilience.

Your key responsibilities will include;
- Developing and overseeing the implementation of climate resilience and sustainability plans, integrating Nature-based solutions, green infrastructure, and resource efficiency measures.
- Managing CEM’s sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant environmental, social, and governance (ESG) frameworks, such as the UN SDGs, TCFD, and science-based targets.
- Driving key sustainability projects, including carbon reduction strategies, and biodiversity conservation initiatives.
- Collaborating with internal teams (e.g., operations, supply chain, finance) and external stakeholders (e.g., government agencies, NGOs, investors) to align sustainability efforts with broader organizational objectives.
- Preparing and presenting detailed reports, risk assessments, and sustainability metrics to senior management, board members, and external partners, ensuring transparency and progress toward climate and sustainability goals.
- Monitoring, interpreting, and influencing local and global regulatory developments related to climate change and sustainability.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a multidisciplinary team of sustainability and climate resilience professionals, fostering innovation and continuous learning
- Organizing training and capacity-building programs to increase climate and sustainability literacy within the organization.
- Overseeing the integration of emerging technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, digital twins) into sustainability initiatives to enhance data-driven decision-making and operational efficiencies.
- Developing budgets and financial strategies to ensure that sustainability and climate resilience projects are adequately funded and aligned with the organization’s financial goals.
- Identifying and pursuing external funding opportunities, grants, and partnerships to support sustainability and resilience initiatives.

You will have/be:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental public policy, environmental science and business management, or related field.
- Advanced qualifications in climate resilience, sustainable development, or environmental management are highly desirable.
- Min 8 years of experience in sustainability, climate resilience, or environmental management roles.
- Proven track record in managing sustainability programs and delivering climate resilience strategies within a corporate or government.
- Well-developed leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams and driving change across CEM and business line.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from concept to completion, meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
- Familiarity with platforms for sustainability reporting, climate modelling, and risk assessment (e.g., GIS, carbon accounting software). Familiarity with digital tools are preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to convey complex climate risks and sustainability strategies to diverse audiences.
