Our client, a leading maritime organization, is seeking an experienced Head of New Vessel Construction to oversee and lead all newbuild projects. This is a senior leadership position requiring deep technical expertise in shipbuilding, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams to deliver complex vessels on schedule and within budget.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of new vessel construction projects, from initial design and planning stages through to final commissioning and sea trials.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
- Work closely with technical experts, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and specifications.
- Oversee quality assurance and ensure strict adherence to international maritime regulations and classification standards.
- Drive procurement and material selection processes to optimize cost and quality.
- Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders to provide project updates and manage expectations.
- Foster and maintain a strong culture of safety and environmental compliance across all projects.
- Support business growth initiatives by contributing to proposals and participating in relevant industry engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent professional certification (e.g., Class One MEO).
- Experience in progressive shipbuilding experience.
- Extensive knowledge of shipbuilding processes, inspection protocols, construction sequencing, and outfitting techniques.
- Experience managing large containership projects within major Asian shipbuilding hubs.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across diverse geographical locations.Demonstrated success in delivering complex shipbuilding projects on time and within budget constraints.
