[What the role is]

The Radiation Protection and Nuclear Science Group in NEA is the national authority for radiation protection in Singapore and serves to protect the public, radiation workers and the environment from the harmful effects of radiation. Its Regulation Division administers and enforces the Radiation Protection Act and Regulations through a system of licensing and inspections.

[What you will be working on]
- Enforce the Radiation Protection Act and its Regulations, and ensure that all radiation users comply with regulatory requirements
- Assist the Division on the administrative licensing work that covers the following:

- Verification and cleansing of licensing data in the backend IT licensing system
- Contacting licensees to request for clarifications
- Updating and maintenance of information in backend system
- Processing and updating of radiation licences
- Perform other duties as may be required under purview of the Radiation Protection and Nuclear Science Group, for example, assisting the Radiation Monitoring and Services Division on administrative work for the provision of personal dose monitoring service.

[What we are looking for]

The job might be for you if you possess the following:

- At least 3 years of working experience
- A-level or Diploma holders in physics/ chemistry/ applied science/ engineering science/ radiation-related science; chemical/ electrical/ mechanical/ environmental engineering
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Highly self-motivated and resourceful
- Able to work in a team and independently with mínimal supervision
- Good interpersonal communication and writing skills
- Organised and able to multi-task
- Responsible and meticulous with an eye for detail
- Able to adapt to changes and has a positive work attitude
- As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
