Level 1 - Instuments In-field Service Engineer

**Job Scope**:
Based in Singapore, Instruments Business line

Level 1 Instruments In-Field Service Engineer in charge of installation, usage training, and customer services of the EL Singapore customers (IG and OG), in a timely planned and within agreed lead-times.

Work collaboratively with Level 1 teams in region to support customers in countries such as TH, ID, PH, KH, VT, IN. This job will require frequent travels in region (» 30-40%).

Possibility to be on-call or on-site during week-end or national day off.

**Key Activities**:
Install, train and support customers (remotely and on-site) of the IVS measurement columns as VisiofficeX, Visioffice3...

Extend perimeter to

Screening and refraction devices for eye-wellness exam (WAM, digital camera, topographer, tonometer...) and refraction (AKR, phoropter )

Finishing devices as tracer and edger for lens edging and mounting

Digital solutions (products connectivity and patient journey)

Characterize problems and report to Level 2 support team.

Report all activities for best practice sharing and evaluate services efficiency.

Support business team for trade fair, roadshow, showroom.

**Key Requirements**:
Bachelor degree on computer science or electro-mechanics.

Ideally, medical device experience.

3 years experience or more.

**Good knowledge in**:

- IT and networking (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP)
- In computer installation and troubleshooting
- in electro-mechanics (system with cinematic, motors, sensors, electronics, software...)

Customer focus (communication skills and ability to work under stress).

Problem solving methods (troubleshooting).

Autonomous, proactive and self-motivated.

Driven for results.

Assertiveness (represents EL company).

**Success Measures/KPIs**:
Within 3 months, autonomous on installation, usage training and first level of service of IVS VisiofficeX. Installation and basic usage training on screening and refraction instruments.
