We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated Project Engineer join our growing Innovation team. If you are an ambitious individual excited about doing technical sales and support and business development in the space tech industry, then we want to work with you. You would mainly be supporting the Innovation team which oversees all of SSTL’s short-term Innovation projects as well as SSTL’s global Space Accelerator Programme which supports close to 50 space tech startups, and is also involved in the development of content for SSTL’s flagship event, the Global Space and Technology Convention (GSTC). Your work would include project managing the day to day operations of Innovation sprints and challenges, developing market intelligence studies, finding new revenue streams for SSTL e.g. Innovation sprints or business consultancy projects, technical content creation and supporting the startups’ business development and overseas market expansion plans.
- Support engineering or pilot projects / innovation sprints
- Project manage the day to day operations of Innovation sprints and programmes
- Responsible for project deliverables and presentation of results and recommendations to stakeholders
- Develop Market landscape and consultancy reports - study the competitive landscape and future trends and provide recommendations to end customers
- Research and find new revenue streams for the Innovation team, e.g. new Innovation projects or business consultancy projects, and support technical sales
- Analyze contractual commitments, specifications and other data to plan and develop strategic activities by using knowledge of business practices & requirement
- Provide technical inputs on SSTL’s flagship event, the Global Space and Technology Convention (GSTC), content creation and curation
- Evaluate startups' technology differentiation and assess fit for SSTL’s innovation programmes
- Provide recommendations for startups to develop new, innovative technologies to increase likelihood of securing contracts and raising funds
- Support technical due diligence efforts for VCs evaluating startups
- Work with local and international universities and research institutes to understand the new technologies being developed and to facilitate research collaborations

**Skills and Experience Required**
- 2 - 3 years of similar experience in technical sales, account management and/or project management
- Should be an advanced/experienced user of MS Excel to perform complex data analysis
- Should be proficient in PowerPoint and have experience with customer presentations / public speaking
- Written and spoken English (Multilingual/Asian Languages an advantage)
- Analytical and meticulous with eye for details
- Positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Commercially astute and customer focused
- Team player
- Experience in project management methodologies (ie. Agile, Lean, Scrum) and space technology sector an advantage

**Educational Qualifications**
- University degree/s in Engineering
