Temporary Senior Executive, Finance

The Temporary Executive/Senior Executive will primarily be involved in the financial management of research funds in accordance with NTU policies as well as funding agencies mandates. The position will also work with both internal and external parties to ensure all issues are properly addressed.
The responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Assist in treasury management that involve close monitoring of cashflows, cashflow forecasts, fixed deposits placement and loans repayment/drawdowns.- Assist in updating documentation of financial policies & procedures and participation in projects that enhance financial systems and reports.- Assist with grant audits/certifications e.g. physical sighting of fixed assets, retrieval of documents.- Handle queries raised via ServiceNow.- Prepare journals, accounting classifications, reconciliations and perform financial analysis.- Close tracking of research expenditure, timely preparation and submission of research grant claims and following up receipt of grant claims.- Prepare monthly accounting schedules e.g. accruals, advance payments.- Provide research support on all matters relating to Ariba.- Create research project in RISE system.- Resolve differences between S4 Hana and RISE system.- Any ad-hoc duties/projects assigned.
**Requirements**:
- Fresh graduates from universities and polytechnics are welcome to apply.- General / project accounting knowledge and data management on projects.- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including V-lookup, Pivot Table etc).- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint.- Knowledge of SAP Financial System (S4 Hana) will be an added advantage.- Able to work independently, perform under pressure and work effectively as a team.- Good time management, able to multi-task and meet tight reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment, without compromising quality of output.
This is a 6 months temporary contract.
