Advancement is a critical department for INSEAD’s alumni engagement and fundraising efforts. INSEAD is hiring for an **Associate Director of Foundations **to join our Advancement department. This is a **full time and permanent **position to be based at either our **Europe Campus in Fontainebleau or our Asia Campus in Singapore **.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Associate Director of Foundations will manage the investigation, organisation, creation, and maintenance of gift receiving entities for INSEAD at the global level. This position will communicate and collaborate with all relevant departments at INSEAD, as well as with the entities and/or affiliated organisations. It will further manage the product and process of generating and recording gift agreements for major and principal gifts to INSEAD.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- INVESTIGATE NEW FOUNDATIONS: Respond to requests and analyse the creation of new foundations/gift receiving entities, liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with international and local laws, preparedness, transparency, and maximum ROI.
- ORGANIZE AND SYSTEMATISE EXISTING FOUNDATIONS: Assess and analyse existing gift-receiving entities to ensure optimisation and compliance, through working with stakeholders to find and implement solutions to problems.
- MAINTAIN FOUNDATIONS: Ensure that all gift-receiving entities are maintained to a high and compliant standard, serve as ex-officio on boards when required, maintain a high level of diplomacy, communication, and collaboration across a wide range of hierarchies.
- MANAGE GIFT AGREEMENTS: Manage the development and execution of the Gift Agreement process to ensure the smooth execution of gift agreements between INSEAD, its donors, and when necessary, INSEAD's gift-receiving entities.
- CREATE NEW FOUNDATIONS: If relevant, project manage the creation of new foundations/gift-receiving entities, setting up systems to monitor efficiency, efficacy, and compliance.
- GENERATE REPORTS AND PARTICIPATE IN AUDITS: Each gift-receiving entity has different reporting and audit needs; ensure that they are met, collaborating with other stakeholders as needed.
- ANALYSE GIFT-RECEIVING ENTITY PERFORMANCE: Ensure that the ROI for gift-receiving entities remains relevant, generate annual reports that analyse performance.
- Support other new projects, as needed.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in international law or international finance.
- At least 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in fields such as paralegal, project management, international finance, and foundations/non-profits.
- Those with global/international work experience will be preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills are essential.
- Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively with across diverse teams and INSEAD leadership.
- Confidence to interact and engage key stakeholders at the leadership level, Boards of foundations and their members, high-level donors, external counsels, possibly vendors.
- Resilient, enjoys problem solving and tackling challenging work.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and talent to handle multiple and varied tasks independently, while also working collaboratively and consistently meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Able to make an impact as a member of a team and diverse community and in a complex, fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
