Senior Executive, Clinical Procedures

The Clinical Procedures (CP) Facilitator will report and work closely with the Practical Skills (PS) Lead. The CP Facilitator is expected to conduct Clinical Procedures training for medical students.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Deliver Clinical Procedures (CP) training that is current, relevant and in-line with exemplary standards of practice and evidence-based guidelines.
- Support (CP) Lead for all matters related to medical education. i.e. Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) & CP training sessions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of CP training programmes.
- Acts as a liaison person to bridge clinical practice and clinical education.
Education
- Conduct teaching according to the learning outcomes/needs; adhere to hospital procedure guidelines and deliver safe and quality healthcare.
- Assist in the production of training materials (PowerPoint/ hand-outs/ itineraries/ instructions) for tutors & students.
- Provide supervision to students during practice and revision sessions.
- Assist with the preparation of Clinical Procedures (CP) exams for Years 2-5.
- Perform other assigned duties as Instructed by (CP) Lead.
Training
- Support the training of Simulated Patients.
- Assist in the training of adjunct facilitators.
Administration
- Plan and coordinate with external institutions/vendors for BCLS, AED, ACLS courses and Mask Fit sessions.
- Maintain records of students for BCLS - AED, ACLS courses and Mask Fit sessions. Assist in compiling training statistics, i.e. student voice feedback.
- Work together with support officers on administrative procedures in the office and lab; Set up skills lab and SIM Ward for skills sessions (Classroom style and audio-visual aids). Manage / coordinate on-site logistics.
- Other administrative tasks as instructed by (CP) Lead.
**Requirements**:
- Degree /Advance Diploma / Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution or an equivalent qualification in a related discipline
- Minimum two (2) years of working experience as a Registered Nurse and has worked alongside a multi-disciplinary healthcare team in private and public healthcare agencies and institutions.
- Have relevant teaching experience and have used medical training equipment such as manikins and task trainers.
- Have prior training experience in BCLS & AED course
- Excellent interpersonal written, and verbal communication skills, especially with people at all levels of seniority (e.g. Clinicians, simulated patients, support officers, and students)
- Positive working attitude and enjoys working with others.
- A good team player who takes initiatives and is resourceful.
- Display ethical and professional behaviour at all times and serve as a role model for colleagues and students
- Willing to travel for work purposes to other campuses such as Experimental Medicine Building (NTU), hospitals (SGH, CGH, IMH, TTSH, and KTPH & JHS) and polyclinics.
- Organized, result-driven with the ability to be flexible, work well under pressure and changing deadlines/priorities in a dynamic environment
This is a 2 years contract appointment.
