**Team Summary**:
Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is Visa's consulting division, serving Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers and merchants) and solving their strategic problems focused on improving performance and profitability. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, payments, data analytics, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA drives high impact and tangible financial results for our clients. In Asia Pacific (AP), VCA has geographically focused teams and a Hub Advisory Practices team based in Singapore, which provides expertise in specific industry or functional verticals (Portfolio Optimization, Digital, Risk, Business Solutions, Acquiring and Merchant). The primary role of the Hub Advisory Practices team is to:
- Create **high-impact solutions **(e.g., data products, set plays, IP) that VCA goes to market with, and the collateral to help sell it in (e.g., pitch materials, thought leadership)
- Build a practice mindset, and create and lead a **community of experts** for each practice across the region to facilitate sharing of latest IP, best practices, etc. in order to bring the best of Visa to clients across the region
- ** Lead sell-in efforts** in conjunction with market VCA teams by providing credibility as a specialist in client pitches/proposals across the region
- Improve the **quality of project delivery and client outcomes by serving as a Subject Matter Expert** (SME) for projects within the practice across the region
- Lead **delivery of engagements** for high-profile and complex engagements
- ** Lead collaboration with other Visa functions** (e.g., Product, Client Services) to identify opportunities to go to market with a One Visa approach, develop solutions jointly, and cross-sell to add greater value to clients and Visa
**What the Head of Card Issuers Advisory Practice, AP does at Visa**:
Reporting to the Head of the Hub Advisory Practices team, the Senior Director, Head of Portfolio Optimization Practice will lead a team of experts and act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) lead on Portfolio Optimization (Activation, Usage and Retention) for VCA clients across the AP region. This individual will support the sales and lead delivery of consulting engagements to help Visa clients address challenges and opportunities related to improving their overall cards portfolio performance and profitability. We are looking for motivated, analytically minded individuals with a proven track record of payment cards portfolio management and of building strong consultative teams and client engagements.
**Key responsibilities for the Head of Card Issuers Advisory Practice, AP**:
- Lead the development of VCA’s Portfolio Optimization advisory offerings and engagement delivery in Asia Pacific to help Visa clients protect and grow their cards portfolios
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with senior client executives through impactful consulting engagements
- Act as the Portfolio Optimization regional expert for Asia Pacific, supporting regional VCA teams in helping Visa clients define and execute on their payments strategy given the changing landscape
- Proactively engage with clients and Visa client leadership in regular strategic and planning discussions, cultivate and manage a pipeline of work with clients
- Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., product, marketing, risk, innovation) to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources
- Create a deep understanding of client needs, market conditions, and industry trends and align to VCA’s Portfolio Optimization consulting offerings
- Lead sell-in efforts in conjunction with market VCA teams by providing credibility as a specialist in client pitches/proposals across the region
- Initiate and execute Thought Leadership projects on the future of payment and retail banking to our clients and partners
