**Your team responsibilities**

The role of Head of ESG Issuer Relations, APAC will lead the ESG Issuer Relations team activities in the APAC (Asia-Pacific ex India) region. In this role, you will act as a key contributor to a global team responsible for the delivery of the global ESG Issuer Relations team’s strategic engagement objectives in the region as well as on global projects spanning organizational functions and regions. Your core responsibilities also include acting as the point person for deploying this globally-aligned strategy and responding to issuer needs specific to the region. This includes expanding and developing our relationships with issuers in the region and globally, across all issuer populations and products within MSCI ESG Research coverage, such as corporates, sovereigns, multilateral development banks, government agencies, and others. This is a highly collaborative role in a growing and evolving function at MSCI ESG Research, with the opportunity to contribute to the development of market leading ESG research, Ratings, and Climate frameworks, which inform global investment decision-making and capital allocation strategies. In this role, you will work cross-functionally across research, data, product, and coverage teams, as well as gain experience working in a global team and organization. The Head of ESG Issuer Relations, APAC, is a proactive self-starter who is skilled at building stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally, in pursuit of a larger strategic vision. You will act as the owner and point person who is primarily responsible for collaboration across relevant teams, aligned with our standard approach to engaging with issuers and deploying our global strategy, including but not limited to teams such as Research, Product, Data, Technology, Marketing, Coverage, Compliance and beyond. As a lead within a small but growing function, you will be responsible for understanding the regional nuances across the APAC region to ensure we reach issuers in APAC in a targeted and tailored way, while balancing this with the deployment of our global strategy to efficiently and effectively reach issuers at scale. The position could be based in Singapore, Tokyo, or Mumbai (ex-APAC but a large MSCI hub) and reports to the Head of Global ESG Issuer Relations. As this role requires collaboration with colleagues across global regions and time zones, some work obligations will occur during evening hours, with flexibility to manage your work-life balance. MSCI ESG Research is an established player in the field of ESG Research and Ratings, pushing the envelope on standard-setting, transparency, and research for institutional investors around the world. The MSCI ESG Issuer Relations team within MSCI ESG Research is responsible for the oversight of all interactions with issuers in the MSCI ESG Research coverage universe. This includes, but is not limited to, educating the issuer community on ESG and Climate investing and MSCI ESG Research data and analysis, as well as soliciting insights and feedback from issuers. We represent MSCI at external issuer events globally, and sitting within the broader ESG research team, we contribute to the development of services and solutions that seek to better connect issuers and investors on relevant ESG topics.
