We are looking for three Distributed Storage System Tech Leads who has an understanding of distributed storage systems, design skills, and experience in building and delivering large-scale storage systems to lead several software systems described below.
- Object Storage Service: Store objects like pictures, videos, documents, etc. (Requires object storage design and development experience).
- HDFS: As a traditional storage product in the BigData area, we re-design and implement HDFS with C++. So far, it's supporting not only Data Platform, but also Advertisement, Machine Learning, and Search services. (Requires a solid technical foundation in distributed storage systems. Big Data experience will be a plus.).

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the team to build new and innovative large-scale distributed storage systems, including but not limited to Object Storage, HDFS, ByteStore;
- Play a key role in driving project objectives and execution management, architecture design and code reviews, define long term technical roadmap for the team, and demonstrate technical leadership;
- Recruit, manage, mentor, and provide technical leadership for team of software engineers;
- Work closely with stakeholder teams to identify business pain points, continuously optimize and improve customer experience, team reputation, and impact.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or related fields;
- 6+ years of professional software development experience;
- Strong with C++/Golang/Java program development (at least one), pursue high-quality code and focused on code engineering quality;
- Solid knowledge of Linux system, proficient in multi-threading, network programming, and distributed development in any programming language;
- Good communication skills, able to lead and drive projects effectively. Familiar with team and project management methodologies and approaches.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in technical management of a software engineering team;
- In-depth research and industry experience in large-scale distributed storage system design and implementation, such as HDFS/Ceph/S3/OSS/EBS;
- Contributor/Committer or PMC of the open-source community is a plus.
