Singapore ESG Enterprise Singapore Full time

[What the role is]

You will be part of the Quality & Excellence team, which leverages an internationally recognised Standards and Conformance (S&C) infrastructure to facilitate trade for Singapore enterprises. In this role, you will be a key part of the standards publications team.

[What you will be working on]
Together with the publications team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality and utility of our standards, ensuring that the standards developed are not only technically sound but also clearly communicated and easy to adopt, leading to widespread industry impact. This involves close coordination with internal and external stakeholders including standards experts, vendors (e.g., outsourced editors, standards sales distributor), publishers and overseas counterparts. You may also be called upon to support other functions and projects in the team if required.

Your main duties include the following:

- Review and refine documents and provide advice to stakeholders to ensure conformance with publication procedures and guidelines.
- Conduct meticulous copy editing to correct grammar, spelling and punctuation to uphold editorial standards.
- Resolve technical issues related to document formatting in MS Word and PDF, adhering to publication house styles to ensure consistency.
- Manage and seek copyright permission, liaising with third parties to secure necessary approvals.
- Develop specifications to engage vendors (e.g. outsourced editors) and prepare evaluation reports, ensuring good quality and value for money services procured.
- Oversee the digitalisation of processes in standards drafting and publication work, enhancing efficiency in work processes.

[What we are looking for]
You should have a strong passion and dedication to grow our Singapore industries through standardisation. Strong writing, communication, presentation, and project management skills are important, as are the abilities to think critically, work independently and cultivate good relationships with partners. You should also be proficient in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat. Preferably at least 5 years of Prior experience in technical writing or technical publishing would be an advantage.
