- Develop and implement strategies to maximize collection and/or recovery activities through efficient & effective use of internal resources and leverage external resources including engaging collections services of insurance company
- Monitor and evaluate collections and recovery strategies, provide analysis, conclusion and recommendations, present findings to Finance director and recommend actions to be taken when appropriate
- Proactively monitoring the uninsured credit risk portfolio of Singapore to ensure there is mínimal deterioration in credit quality
- Assist in recommending appropriate pro-active measures to mitigate credit risk and protect company's interests from excessive credit risk exposure
- Perform consistent periodical credit limit review on customers by working closely with sales team to ensure that appropriate credit limits are granted and assigned to qualified customers/business partners
- Liaison closely with insurance brokers and insurance company to resolve and escalate credit insurance matters timely
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external customers constituents to ensure effective communications and the timely resolution of issues that slow down the credit decision and collections process
- Prepare and analyze reports to help identify trends, implement continuous quality improvement initiatives, and identify areas that require internal attention, training or development for SG credit & collections team
- Develop a solid understanding of the company's existing processes / workflows and partner with internal departments and personnel to ensure a highly efficient, streamlined and effective end-to-end credit control processes and recommend changes accordingly
- Provides ongoing support, guidance and coaching to ensure effective collections team working, identification and resolution of issues and the building and facilitation of stakeholder relationships for the best possible collections outcomes
- Mentor, train, coach, and develop department employees and provide guidance to help increase their performance against goals related to aged receivables, collections efficiency, percentage of past due.
- Provide guidance on collections forecasting, bad debt provisions and strategies to execute efficient collections of receivables
- Consistently review and ensure timely and accurate allocation of payment received towards invoices to have up-to-date aging status report
