**DESCRIPTION**:
The Debug Project is seeking a motivated research associate to work with our production, field and science teams out of our new mosquito factory in Singapore. As a member of the team, you will contribute to the development and improvement of vector control products in our portfolio. Your primary task will be to develop and run various behavioral and physiological bioassays to assess mosquito quality and competitiveness.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Participate in the development of novel insect control products for the Debug product portfolio.
- Design and perform biological assays and experiments on Debug mosquitoes.
- Maintain accurate records, help to document laboratory experiments and generate reports to communicate results to the team and partners.
- Support production and field team with routine research activities.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Minimum Qualifications**:
**Preferred Qualifications**:Bachelor’s degree in biology, genetics, entomology or a related discipline.
Willingness to work with insects and perform insect rearing tasks in hot, humid conditions.
Previous experience with insect husbandry or research.
Strong interpersonal, data presentation and communication skills.
Flexibility and time management skills necessary for balancing multiple experiments simultaneously.
- Experience working with mosquitoes, including collection, colonization, dissection and identification of mosquito species.
- Experience with molecular biology techniques including nucleic acid extraction, PCR and qPCR.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, within reason, to support the success of the overall project.
- Ability to work well in a high-paced, product development-driven environment.
