The Manager, Engineering & Design is responsible for the engineering and design of grid connected solar photovoltaic systems (including utility-scale and distributed generation projects). He/she will oversee the end-to-end process of design and review of PV system engineering, modelling, and performance data, and provide engineering support to the team during the project development and detailed engineering phase.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage & support solar project development, providing technical inputs whenever necessary
- Provide engineering input from initial assessment, to technical and economic feasibility, construction monitoring and acceptance
- Managing external technical advisers and due diligence processes
- Support M&A projects after due diligence
- Evaluate different projects and its technical quality
- Review technical documents including specifications, reports, proposals, calculations and technical component of contracts
- Occasional travel to project sites in APAC region, whenever necessary
- Provide technical support and guidance to Project Managers
- Technical assessment of PV products and equipment
- Define project goals and objectives for engineers
- Coach, guide, evaluate and mentor engineers, and actively participate in their career development
- Provide updates on execution and strategy for key projects to executive leadership

Key Qualifications Required:

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering & design of Solar PV system for rooftop & ground mounted systems
- Strong problem solving and analytical skillset
- Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-disciplined team
- Ability to produce high quality technical reports

Key Technical Skills Required:

- Knowledge of codes such as the IEC, Singapore Standards and construction practices
- Knowledge of main drivers of the solar business, incl. levers for Capex efficiency
- Working knowledge of standard electrical calculations, basic structural & mechanical calculation
- A good knowledge of PV technology and megawatt scale plants
- Competence in analysing solar irradiation measurements and PV plant production data
