**What the role is**
- The Social Support Group (SSP) oversees all policy, planning and delivery of social services for low-income and vulnerable families, including persons with disabilities.
The Service Delivery Division (SD) oversees all direct operations, including Social Service Offices (SSOs), service management of Family Service Centres, administration of schemes for student and childcare and Student Care Centre operations.
**What you will be working on**
- As a ComLink Engagement Officer within the Social Service Office (SSO), you will support the implementation of Community Link, an initiative that provides proactive and integrated support to lower-income families with children.
You will maintain regular contact with these families, through the phone or home visits. Through these regular contacts, you will be able to (1) build trust and rapport, (2) understand the families’ needs and aspirations (3) work with them to come up with action plans to meet these needs/aspirations, and (5) journey alongside them as they set out to fulfil their goals and uplift their life circumstances. You will also play an important part in identifying schemes, services, and programmes that can support the families as well as organising and facilitating programmes to meet the needs of ComLink families.
In delivering social services to these families, you are required to work closely with the team of SSO officers and other stakeholders such as government bodies, Social Service Agencies, community partners as well as individual/group volunteers. You may also be required to work with these agencies to resolve issues the ComLink families may face.

- Above all, the officer must have the desire to build a career in the social service sector to help the vulnerable.
- He/she should be able to engage multiple parties, who sometimes may have differing views, to come up with a solution that would ultimately benefit our clients.
