Overall Job Purpose:
Support the Marketing and Sales Department in the planning and delivery of integrated public relations and marketing communication strategies to enhance the organisation’s profile and reputation, and improve its market positioning. The role will also support through-the-line marketing efforts from copywriting and creative development to engaging the media, influencers and other key audiences on marketing campaigns, partnerships and events.
**Job Description**:
- Undertake day-to-day PR activities which include: being the first point of contact for media inbox and phone, handling media, blogger, interview, photoshoot and filming requests.
- Research, write and distribute press materials including news releases, statements, factsheets, and media FAQs to targeted media and stakeholders; seek out opportunities and pitch stories for positive PR exposure; handle media monitoring and update senior staff on relevant coverage, build and maintain strong influencer / media relationships as well as maintain an updated list of media contacts.
- Provide communications support to Director/Manager during media related activities and manage customer communications when necessary. These include crafting speeches, talking points, letter, and other relevant communications materials.
- Contribute to internal content brainstorms and the creation of accurate, compelling and engaging content for media, social media, website and annual report to maximize PR outreach.
- Assist in developing and executing an integrated communication plan/campaigns for new programs / services, leveraging on traditional and online media to positively project the brand image and business objectives of the organization. These include supporting the creation of quality and creative communication materials such as brochures, presentations, videos, blog posts, eDMs, digital and print adverts, ensuring consistent brand voice and messaging across our content as well as providing administrative and logístical support.
- Work with internal stakeholders to support, develop and implement outreach activities, crisis communication and media strategy as needed.
- Responsible for the stock management of all brand collaterals.
- Evaluate opportunities for awards, partnerships and sponsorships with the Director/Manager.
- Provide event management and support key activities as required.
- Any ad-hoc projects and duties that may arise as designated and assigned by the management.
**Job Requirements**
- A University Degree in PR, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English with an ability to adapt writing style for various target audiences, formats, and channels.
- Experience managing social media accounts and campaigns to deliver specific messages.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite (e.g. Power Point, Excel, Word)
- Strong administrative and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously and prioritize.
- Ability to create content for media, social media and website through design, photography and video production will have an added advantage.
