Automation and Infrastructure Engineer

Review lac scripts and be involved with the solutioning team's discussions to provide feedback and validate improvements

Be involved in DevOps and Security domain discussions as part of your scope Design and implement infrastructure automation solutions using Terraform to manage cloud-based and on-premises environments.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management.

Conduct regular code reviews, perform testing, and maintain documentation to ensure the reliability and repeatability of infrastructure deployments.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure automation, ensuring mínimal downtime and optimal system performance.

Act as a hands-on technical advisor, mentoring peers and providing technical guidance on best practices for infrastructure automation and DevOps processes. Design and implement automation improvements to support large scale Linux, Windows, SAN storage, and virtualization environments (e.g. VMware) Perform provisioning and automation enhancements via scripting (e.g. Bash and Python) and centralized management tools.

**Experience and skills requirements**

**Experience**

Proven experience (3+ years) as an Infrastructure Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role focused on infrastructure automation and laC.

Experience in adopting cloud security tools like Azure Security Centre, Sentinel

Good understanding of cloud security and solutioning concepts to get up to speed on design discussion

Expertise in using Terraform to manage cloud-based environments (e.g. AWS, Azure).

Strong proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and configuration management tasks.

Experience supporting virtualized environments on centralized storage, (e.g. Nutanix, VMware vSphere).

**Certification**

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, and at least 5+ years of relevant work experience.

**Added advantage with the following**:
Good understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and infrastructure architecture.

Strong operating systems management skills, with a proven background in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration, Windows administration experience a plus Tenacity to persevere and meet challenges head-on during project implementation Inquisitiveness to assess and understand the latest cloud technologies and features Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail

Strong ability to juggle multiple projects and work closely with various key stakeholders

Team player who is comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment and excellent customer service.
