The Credit Risk and Casualty team at Lloyd’s List Intelligence is part of our Seasearcher suite of risk and compliance solutions. Our team of expert analysts uses a comprehensive toolbox of stakeholder interviews, OSINT research, and in-house estimation tools to conduct due diligence research on companies in the maritime ship supply and commodities markets.

Reporting to the Maritime Editorial Data Manager in London, you will be part of the larger credit risk and casualty team and be a key, trusted member of this global segment.

This position presents an exciting opportunity for a results-driven individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who is either a recent graduate or have 1-4 years' experience in company and financial analysis and reporting, aspiring to gain exposure and experience within the maritime

sector. Maritime knowledge would be an advantage but much more important is a passion for company investigations and someone who can work well with continual change and a desire to exceed expectations.

This role is balanced working model between home and in our modern and centrally located offices in either Singapore, Shanghai, or Hong Kong.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Produce an agreed number of credit reports per month, meeting volume & timeliness KPIs.
- Actively research and analyse companies, shipping, and financial markets to make confident and concise credit risk judgments.
- Respond to queries from customers efficiently and professionally.
- Stay abreast of LLI product developments and market news, including Lloyd’s List breaking news and reporting.

**What we are looking for**:
**Essential**:

- Proficiency in written and verbal English
- Aptitude for financial analysis, due diligence, and research.
- Able to work independently under clear deadlines to meet client orders, managing multiple reports at one time.
- Demonstrable analytical skills, both quantitative & qualitative.
- Innovative and dynamic approach to problem-solving and a positive approach to change.

**Desirable**:

- Proficiency in a second language is highly desirable
- Experience in either the maritime, commodity and/or energy sectors is highly preferable.
- Good understanding of international sanctions and impact on the shipping industry, including exposure to maritime trade.
- Experience of resolving complex customer queries is advantageous.
