Job Purpose:
Noble Resources Group is a privately-owned Singapore based commodity trader, focused on globally sourced energy and metals, sold primarily to Asian customers. After a period of high profile uncertainty, we are seeking to refocus the company’s narrative on our successful turnaround and strategy going forward. The turnaround builds on historic strengths in trading, as well as long-term supplier and customer relationships delivered by a highly skilled and motivated team around the world. The business has recently strengthened its balance sheet, transitioned to a new ownership structure and set a clear strategy with our investors based on clearer commodity focus, defensive risk management and abundant opportunities in the Asian market.

The Public Relations Manager’s key short to medium-term focus will be to improve the overall image of a company that has been negatively impacted by a financial restructuring in 2018 and reports of continued uncertainty since then. Noble Resources Group separated from other legacy assets and companies to focus exclusively on commodity trading and needs to draw a line under our history and change the perception of the Group going forward. We are now committed to a global headquarters in Singapore and focused on high standards of governance, risk management and transparency.

The Public Relations Manager will be based in Singapore and work with Noble’s senior management and partners to craft narratives that guide Noble’s story and rebuild the Noble brand, creating greater stakeholder awareness of the ‘New Noble’ story.

This individual will be an energetic hands-on individual contributor that will play a key role in existing PR efforts, while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with the company’s growth objectives. He / She will help build relationships with investors and media, community groups, charities and relevant regulatory bodies in our domain, and utilising social and alternative media channels to build Noble’s story with new partners. The successful individual will have the ability to challenge the senior management team to increase engagement and visibility and drive the organisation to be outward looking in its communications strategy.

**Responsibilities**:

- Update and deliver the media relations strategy, managing placements and presence in traditional and non-traditional media to tell the ‘New Noble’ story and grow our brand presence, globally and with a primary focus on Asia
- Develop and deliver a complementary programme of community and charitable engagement for Noble Resources in Singapore, to raise awareness and promote our desire to be seen as a committed and responsible member of the Singapore business community
- Engage with other functions to align PR efforts with company initiatives, e.g., building trade finance partners, commercial positioning with key industry partners, building relationships with regulators, employer branding, etc.
- Understand the competitive landscape, staying ahead of threats to our brand image and providing intelligence on relevant media trends
- Provide active input and support for the ESG governance framework for the Group and support our increasing focus on sustainability
- Write timely announcements / press releases, presentations and other narratives
- Deal with enquiries from the public, relevant media organisations and through digital / social media

- Tertiary qualified in a relevant field such as marketing, public relations, etc
- Business and commercial qualifications will be looked on favourably
- Has established relevant networks and contacts in traditional and non-traditional media in Asia

**Experience**:

- Professional experience in public relations in Asia, or in closely related roles
- Has significant experience writing and publishing articles, narratives and other content to support a corporate PR campaign
- Has worked with senior management in a commercial organisation, ideally in some financial services, trading or commodities field

**Skills**:

- Exceptional English writing, editing and communication skills
- Expert knowledge of traditional, digital and social traditional media, and ability to proactively manage messages through these and any other channels in Asia
- Ability to build trusted relationships with employees and managers across the organisation and develop their stories and ideas
- Able to work under pressure and deal with crisis as and when they arise
