We are looking for a competent Care Aide to join us in providing professional and excellent care for our clients.

The Care Aide will follow a care plan tailored for the client and report on any new conditions or needs that may arise. To thrive as a Care Aide, you should be professional, and compassionate and have strong people skills. You should be observant and committed to ensuring your client will feel safe and comfortable under your care.
- Responsibilities- Assist clients with personal care, which may include bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.
- Carry out clients’ prescribed healthcare plan - this may include assisting with exercise and administering medication.
- Ensure each client’s home is organized according to their needs, with safety measures are in place.
- You may also be expected to assist with some light housework.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks.
- Provide mobility assistance when required, such as helping the client in and out of bed, a chair, or a wheelchair.
- Transport or escort clients to medical and other appointments.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behaviour, and needs.
- Complete accurate paperwork and submit on a timely basis.
- Participate in supervisory meetings and job-related training.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in geriatric care within homes and assisted living environments are a plus, but not required.
- Certification in CPR AED, or a willingness to undergo training to be certified.
- Knowledge of caregiving tasks or are ready to be trained with care aide skills.
- Patience and respect in dealing with sick, elderly or disabled clients.
- Ability to train clients/caregivers on basic caregiving skills.
- Ability to work under close supervision of iKare staff and cooperate with the client’s family.
- A willingness to work flexible hours, which may include night shifts.
- Proficiency in English (proficiency in other languages/dialects are a plus).
