**[What the role is]**

We are looking for a passionate individual to drive biodiversity outreach and engagement initiatives at NParks. You will support the Community in Nature (CIN) initiative, working closely with stakeholders such as schools and community groups to promote biodiversity awareness and conservation.

You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing and implementing engagement strategies, creating biodiversity-themed resources, and fostering strong partnerships with stakeholders to advance our City in Nature vision.

**[What you will be working on]**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive engagement strategy for the CIN initiative with a focus on schools, community groups and other key stakeholders
- Create and manage biodiversity-themed educational resources and programmes to enhance public awareness and participation
- Organise and conduct workshops, programmes, and activities to promote biodiversity education and conservation
- Lead and train volunteers for biodiversity watches and related conservation activities
- Support key initiatives including the Festival of Biodiversity, Biodiversity Roundtable with Nature Groups, Biodiversity Friends Forum, and other biodiversity Information & outreach work streams
- Support and manage NParks-wide systems for biodiversity and research
- Contribute to policy reviews, strategic planning, and partnership & engagement activities within the Community Partnerships workstream

**[What we are looking for]**
- Area of study in Environmental Studies, Life Sciences or related discipline is preferred
- A versatile individual who can handle both strategic planning and hands-on implementation of biodiversity programmes
- Experience in developing and delivering public engagement programmes, with strong skills in stakeholder management and facilitation
- Proven ability to create engaging educational content and resources
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
- Detail-oriented with good analytical capabilities
- Self-motivated team player who can work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to work outside office hours, including weekends and public holidays for events and outreach activities when required
