[What the role is:]
This is a Laboratory Officer role which sits under the Analytical Toxicology Lab - Drug Abuse Testing.
[What you will be working on:]
**Job Description**:
- Perform testing of drugs and metabolites in biological samples which includes sampling, extraction and instrumental analysis
- In accordance to laboratory manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments.
- Calibrate laboratory instruments, prepare reagents and maintain inventories of laboratory consumables.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Assist in developing and validating new techniques and methods for testing of drugs in biological samples.
- Assist in laboratory quality assurance duties.
[What ywe are looking for:]
Job Requirements:
- Background in Applied Chemistry or on other relevant fields
- Basic knowledge of extraction and chromatography.
