The Purchaser/Purchasing Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of purchasing strategies. He/She identifies potential suppliers to secure cost-effective sources of Vegetables and Fruits products. He/She establishes and maintains good relationships with suppliers to negotiate for the best terms. The Purchaser/Purchasing Manager monitors supplier performance in terms of on-time delivery, quality and cost. He/She establishes key performance measurements to evaluate the purchasing process. He/She drafts and reviews purchase contracts to ensure relevance to market trends. He/She also prepares monthly status reports for management review.

Roles and responsibilities

~ Analyse, monitor and forecast inventory levels.
~ Award contracts in accordance with purchasing best practices.
~ Coordinate local and overseas delivery.
~ Generate monthly purchasing report for management.
~ Initiate and lead cost saving initiatives.
~ Liaise with local and overseas suppliers.
~ Maintain and update the approved supplier list.
~ Monitor and keep optimal inventory levels.
~ Review aging inventory on a monthly basis.
~ Source, evaluate and qualify suppliers.

**Salary**: $2,200.00 - $2,500.00 per month
