We are looking to hire an experienced broker/account handler to expand our client base in Myanmar. As a broker/account handler, you will be responsible for dealing with new enquiries, servicing existing customers, and cultivating lasting relationships.

You should have a good command of English and Burmese, broad knowledge of specialty insurance products, and excellent interpersonal skills. A good broker creates lasting and trusting relationships with clients by taking the time to understand their requirements and then arranging suitable cover and a competitive price.

**Responsibilities**:

- Creating marketing initiatives to attract new clients.
- Meeting with potential clients to discuss their insurance needs.
- Researching available options for the client.
- Prepare insurance contracts and policies.
- Negotiate with reinsurers to arrange suitable cover at a reasonable price.
- Be able to explain the coverage to the client.
- Assist with premium collection.
- Processing client accounts
- Advising clients on risk management initiatives.
- Preparing reports/presentations for reinsurers.
- Maintaining client relationships.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or Business management.
- Proven work experience as an insurance broker, ideally with the Myanmar local market
- Good command of English and Burmese languages to communicate effectively with Burmese existing and potential clients.
- A passion for sales.
- Broad knowledge of specialty insurance products
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- High-level negotiating skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Advanced mathematical skills.
