**Role Overview**
As the Volunteer Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, and supporting our volunteers. You’ll be the main point of contact, ensuring volunteers are engaged, appreciated, and placed in roles that match their skills and passions.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Recruit and onboard new volunteers through outreach, interviews, and orientation sessions
- Match volunteers to suitable roles based on their skills and interests
- Maintain volunteer records and schedules
- Organize regular check-ins, training sessions, and appreciation events
- Serve as the main contact for volunteer-related queries and concerns
- Develop strategies to improve volunteer engagement and retention
- Collaborate with team leads to assess volunteer needs across projects
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in volunteer management or team coordination
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive and empathetic approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with volunteer management software (you will be trained if you are not)
