**Job Description**:
The individual is responsible for overseeing the collection and settlement of direct and intermediary accounts in a timely manner. This involves the reconciliation and processing of insurance and reinsurance receipts and payments, analyzing of premiums collection and claims settlement. The individual is also responsible for various month end close related reconciliations and quarterly reportings related to insurance and reinsurance receivable/payable.

The Finance department of Everest Reinsurance Company, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for an Accounting Analyst (Credit Control) to join our Singapore office.

**Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Reconciliation of AR/P balances, monitor debtor/creditor balances to pursue and collect receivables and promptly settle payables when due.
- Reply promptly to stakeholders’ questions and concerns.
- Ensure receivables/payables are accurately analyzed and cleared from AR/AP system.
- Liaise with Technical Assistants on technical matters (e.g. non-receipt of statements).
- Monthly reconciliation of XUBER to G/L system.
- Prepare and post monthly journal vouchers where necessary.
- Prepare payments which include initiation of Wire Transfer payments via JPMorgan ACCESS.
- Perform XUBER verification of incoming funds (monthly Cash History Survey Report).
- Preparation of AR/P schedule for MAS reporting & audit.
- Preparation of Non-Admitted Assets report (from H.O.) (CECL)
- Preparation of quarterly Balance Sheet analysis report - LICP (from H.O.).
- Perform Controlled Accounts Reconciliation for H.O.
- Update, reconcile and follow up on unapplied cash (deposit/disbursement suspense).
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and follow up to ensure balance sheet items are up to date and cleared in a timely manner.
- Carry out any ad hoc project as and when assigned by Management.

**Qualifications, Education & Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in credit control or related experience. Preferably from general insurance/reinsurance industry.
- Preferred education qualification: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business. Minimum: Diploma in accounting, finance or business.

**Knowledge, Skills & Competencies**:

- Proven track record in debt collection, negotiating payments and handling disputes.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to reconcile complex accounts and resolve issues.
- Confident and has strong verbal and written communication skills to manage various internal and external stakeholders.
- Adaptable to change, takes initiative and ownership and looks for ways to improve processes.
- Works well both in a team and independently to accomplish team goals and objectives.
- Able to thrive under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other basic technology skills.
