**We are hiring a solid Corporate Counsel, with 5 - 7 years experience, to join our expanding legal department in this fast growing, truly globally distributed company. **This position will be ideal for a self-sufficient and resourceful mid-level attorney who is based in either Sydney or Melbourne in Australia or Singapore.**

**What You Will Be Doing**:

- **You will negotiate and structure a wide variety of commercial contracts, supporting our Sales and Partner organizations in Asia Pacific, with a particular focus on strategic transactions.**:

- **You will work collaboratively with our cross functional internal partners who enable Elastic's go-to-market opportunities.**:

- **You will help build and strengthen workflows, and processes between the Legal Department and other departments within Elastic to enable dealmaking and compliance initiatives.**:

- **You will partner with co-workers, in a company culture that is open, welcoming and unequaled.**

**What You Bring Along**:

- **You have approximately 5-7 years of experience in the drafting and negotiation of complex technology contracts (including cloud/ SaaS and software subscription contracts, Australian Federal and State government procurement contracts, and related professional services supply contracts), with any combination of in-house and law firm roles.**
- **Good humour, strong judgment, impeccable ethics, and the ability to balance legal risks with business strategy are valued qualities.**:

- **You thrive while independently running your own time in a fast-paced environment, and can handle ambiguity; you are flexible and approach prioritization and problem solving with resilience and positivity.**:

- **Excellent communication skills, with strong oral and written English.**
