Join to apply for the Strategic Commercial Director, APJ role at Ethos BeathChapman Overview We are hiring a Strategic Commercial Director to lead our client’s largest, most strategic, and high-visibility commercial engagements across the Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) region. This is an individual contributor position. Our client is a global leader in cloud infrastructure and services , supporting enterprise customers with scalable, mission-critical solutions. These are complex, high-value deals that play a key role in long-term customer relationships and business growth. The role will focus on managing the end-to-end deal lifecycle , from strategic planning and customer engagement through to negotiation and closure. Key Responsibilities Lead commercial negotiations and close large-scale, strategic, and competitive enterprise deals Shape deal strategies aligned with customer objectives and long-term outcomes Structure and present tailored commercial proposals and value-based solutions Collaborate with executive stakeholders across sales, finance, legal, product, and operations Act as a senior advisor during complex sales cycles, supporting field teams and executive sponsors Navigate internal and external challenges to accelerate deal progression Drive commercial growth and support long-term partnerships with enterprise clients Qualifications Required: 15 years of experience managing complex, high-value commercial transactions More than 10 years working with C-level executives, IT, procurement, legal, and finance stakeholders Proven track record in leading negotiations directly with senior executives Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Technology, or a related field Familiarity with enterprise sales cycles in a global or regional context Preferred: Experience with large-scale software, cloud services, or infrastructure deals This is a high-impact leadership role offering visibility across the business and direct influence on strategic growth initiatives.
