The Director (Finance) is responsible for overseeing the financial management and accounting activities of the PA and its grassroots organisations (GROs). These include budgeting; accounting; strategic planning; financial reporting and audit; consolidating PA and GRO accounts; and reviewing, updating and implementing financial policies, procedures and systems.
- Reviews budget requirements and seeks government funding for the PA to ensure adequate and timely allocation of resources to the Divisions and monitors utilization of operating and development budgets of the PA to ensure that they are kept within the approved budget.
- Oversees the operating accounts, development accounts as well as payroll and ensures the timely and accurate consolidation of the PA Group Accounts (including GROs).
- Reviews and updates financial policies and procedures of PA and its GROs to ensure operational efficiency and relevance and with proper checks and internal controls for proper corporate governance, accountability and compliance with Statutory Board Reporting Standards and other mandatory requirements.
- Oversees administration of Institutions of Public Character and Charities under PA.
