JOB TITLE: HR Manager - SG Hub
LOCATION: Singapore
ABOUT UNILEVER
Unilever Asia Private Limited (UAPL) / Singapore (SG) Hub: One of Unilever’s Global Hubs based in SG for D&E markets in proximity to growth markets enabling leading edge insights into emerging consumer/customer trends, within a diverse ecosystem and a progressive government. This is global head quarter for a few Unilever’s businesses and organizations: Business Groups: Homecare, Personal Care and Beauty & Wellbeing, Global Procurement, Unilever International, and the supporting functions for these teams. It is also a Talent Development & Learning Hub for Unilever with Four Acres Leadership Development Center (Asia).
MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
- Implement UAPL/One Hub HR Strategy & agenda by collaborating with HR Major leads (Employer Branding, Culture, Talent & Performance, Learning) and Employee Experience Team to deliver Hub HR agenda. Requires incumbent to lead without authority given HR team members have reporting lines to respective businesses and organizations
- Support Business Partner SG Hub Leadership team - partnering with Site Leaders and support HR leadership point of contract for SG Hub. Responsible for consistent approach across SG Hub via policy development and implementation for SG as global hub (in line with both global policy and local legislation)
- Nurture One SG Hub HR Team Culture - responsible for HR4HR agenda to foster One HR team/community
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Implement UAPL/One Hub HR Strategy & agenda
- Define UAPL/One Hub HR strategy, agenda and responsible for prioritization and resource allocation
- Lead and deliver annual HR agenda in partnership with HR Major leads and Employee Experience team
- Plans, executes and manages talent strategies including the local talent development agenda, Asian talent agenda and talent pipelining
- Responsible to ensure Employer Brand strategy & agenda is in line with Hub’s vision and objectives
- Conduct annual HR strategy days and quarterly reviews of progress
- Co-led and support organization development for different SG based businesses or across SG hub
- Responsible to develop and implement SG Hub action plans from annual Univoice feedback
- Involvement in design and implementation of employee engagement activities
- Co-lead employee engagement activities such as SG Hub townhall, events in close partnership with internal communications team
Local HR Policy Development and Custodian
- Support local HR policy development and reviews. Examples including and not limited to: work from abroad policy, hybrid working guidelines, local contract offerings, early careers programs policies etc.
- Establish ways of working with network of HRBPs (both in SG & overseas) to ensure consistent approach and implementation across teams in the hub
External Affairs & Partnerships
- Support implementation of partnership agreements with external organizations from workforce, talent development, people’s plan perspective
- External engagement for knowledge sharing, exchange and equity building with external HR networks to build brand and reputation for Unilever’s HR function
Safety, Internal Affairs, Risk & Compliance Management
- Support Head of HR in SG Hub in various workstreams including: Workplace matters, Hub safety committee, business integrity committee
- Manages and responsible for actions to mitigate business risks in the HR area of responsibility for UAPL
HR4HR for SG HR
- Drive One HR Team spirit and culture in SG HR community through learning, capability building and engagement initiatives and activities
- Responsible for supporting talent development and casting locally to facilitate career moves in support of various Global HR streams leads
- Local talent pipelining and development with focus on HR UFLP development and key talent in SG
- Support any organization change in global HR teams impacting roles and talent in SG
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
- Lead and influence effectively without authority
- Passionate in driving local and Asian talent agenda
- Leadership development experience is a plus
- Local experience in operating HR function in Singapore
- Managed both Functional and regional/global business agendas as well as multiple stakeholders
- Business savvy, experienced HR professional, strong financial acumen
- HR hands on, operational HR experience in HR Country/cluster/region
- Employee/Industrial relations experience
- Strong team player and great at delivery through collaboration
- Ability to strategically connect the dots and see big picture, and at the same time break that down into tangible actionable elements
- Strong understanding of external business context and influences, bringing thinking and challenge to leaders
