**Essential Responsibilities**
- Assists Lab Operation Manager with lens edging, ensuring the highest of quality of finished product and daily edging capacity output is achieved.
- Able to interpret prescriptions provided for lens order processing and lens edging. So that when there is an issue with prescriptions, corrective actions can be taken to ensure quality
- Process prescriptions and sales information into computerized system and performs all other clerical functions required to satisfy patient needs.
- Dispenses and adjusts optical product. Inspects final product for accuracy in accordance with prescription requirements, original order and ANSI Z80.1-2015 standards. Reconciles stores/customers concerns to their satisfaction.
- Conducts periodic inventory check of frames and accessories as requires.
- Perform necessary lens work and ad-hoc tasks as required, including but not limited to cutting, edging, and mounting of lenses.
- Repairs frames as required. Completes all required forms.
- Recommend to Lab Operation Manager improvements in processes and services. Maintain written and verbal communication with lab as required.
- Planning of manpower, duty roster of lab personnel. Ensuring ample manpower to achieve edging lab’s daily targets.
- Providing training and orientation to new staff members and as well as existing staff.
- Ensure that all team members adhere to SOPs as set up by the company.
- Performs other related duties (such as assisting in receiving department) as necessary.
