EHS Manager

Lendlease Singapore is currently searching for an experienced **EHS Manager **to join the Project Management & Construction team responsible for the build and delivery of a range of projects across the region.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

Accountabilities:

- Manage Construction EH&S performance, annual EH&S Plan progress, GMR compliance and significant HiPo/Flash Reports.
- Ensure all projects are reporting all serious and minor incidents, near misses and safety observations in WebCare.
- Alert BU MDs, EMEA HofEH&S if any significant risks, incidents & non-conformances are produced by any BU operation.
- Provide visible EH&S leadership when conducting regular site visits across the region of responsibility to test GMR compliance.
- Share lessons learnt and examples of best practice with all regional business operations and ensure cross pollination of ideas and methodologies for safe construction and environmental practices.
- Ensure Construction has a robust approach to reviewing, filtering and approving all bids at key hold points during conversion.
- Audit all projects independently and as per timeframes outlined in the EH&S Management System.
- Provide all construction staff with access to complete the Lendlease Environment, Health & Safety Passport.
- Ensure training content is available in languages appropriate for the workforce and establish a process so that training is delivered to all construction staff. Ensure the communication of the Lendlease EH&S Policies to all staff (translated if required) & ensure relevant LL EH&S Policies are displayed on all LL premises in the construction business.
- Ensure direct reports understand and have clear EH&S Roles & Responsibilities (R&Rs) communicated to them.
- Ensure all changes to the register of local H&S legislation are communicated to all relevant (Projects, offices, etc.) teams.
- Provide input to the Lendlease Construction Safety Leadership Teams, where appropriate and track all relevant action items to be closed out, and raise concerns with the Head of EH&S Construction and produce materials for the relevant EMT/ELT/SLT.
- Approve Flash & HiPo reports for distribution ensuring content is accurate and information is valid.
- Lead the investigation of all significant incidents and ensure lessons learned and appropriate corrective actions are applied.
- Working with the Head of Safety Construction, promote local and regional Incident & Injury Free and Employee Excellence Awards processes and ensure local construction specific reward and recognition initiatives are in place. Ensure all significant EH&S Risks as recorded on the Corporate Risk register and the Safety Risk Monitor and are updated on monthly intervals or when changes occur.
- Submit precise reports to the LL Regional Head of Safety or the Head of Safety Construction as required in response to scheduled reporting requirements and reviews or audits;

Attributes:

- Degree or post graduate level (BA, BSc, MSc) qualification or Diploma (NEBOSH or equivalent e.g. Nottingham Trent, Salford, Aston) in safety or NVQ Level 4 in Occupation H&S Practice.
- Experience in leading a business H&S team and delivering the highest standards of H&S management.
- Extensive experience of the providing H&S support in construction. Excellent communicator at all levels, ability to make the best possible use of briefings. Good working knowledge of IT/database systems. Proven administration skills, with significant attention to detail & accuracy.
