Singapore TARGET PARTNERS EXECUTIVE SEARCH PTE. LTD. Full time

Our client is the investment arm of a large international diversified group, deploying its proprietary capital in both strategic targets as well as returns-focused investment opportunities. They are seeking to hire a Compliance Officer for their Singapore office. A self starter, you will manage the compliance function and report to Company MD and to Global General Counsel Office in head office. You play an important role in maintaining the office’s compliance framework in Singapore, guided by head office’s international standards.

The scope of work includes the following:
- Develop and maintain written Company Compliance Programs, policies, procedures and internal controls in accordance with the protocol or compliance elements provided by head office
- On-going monitoring and updating of all policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure they are functioning properly and complied with
- Prepare and conduct Compliance Risk Assessment and identify high risk areas to be prioritized based on the results
- For any new lines of business/expansion into a new jurisdiction, assess associated compliance risks and develop a risk mitigation plan and incorporate action plan into the Compliance Program
- Work on relevant legislation for policy setting and implementation to the team.
- Work with various internal stakeholders and external professional firms to review, improve and implement various compliance policies and procedures to the team.
- Perform necessary contract review, assessments and checks on third party agents/outsource service providers (Eg: worldchecks etc)
- Periodic reporting to Global Compliance Team
- Staff training

**Requirements**:

- 5 years of relevant experience
- Familiar with various legislation, including but not limited to AML, PDPA, GDPR, ABC, BCM etc
- Experienced in drafting policies, work with stakeholders to operationalise and implement them for regular monitoring
- Able to work independently and take initiative to improve processes
- Good understanding of general compliance framework
- A good university degree
- Good interpersonal, collaboration skills to work with various local and HQ stakeholders.
