Bloomberg News is looking for an experienced and dynamic Managing Editor to oversee finance coverage in Asia. As Managing Editor, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring a group of reporters and editors to deliver the highest-profile, market moving news under heavy deadline pressure. You are an ambitious journalist who wants to own the story of China's crackdown on capitalism, how Singapore leverages tensions in China to strengthen its position as a global financial hub, the collapse of property markets across the region and more. You also have the ability to drive scoops and enterprise, and bring a vision for how to tell compelling stories about the most powerful people and trends in finance. This job is highly visible in the newsroom and requires someone with strong management skills who enjoys collaborating with colleagues across the globe.

**We'll trust you to**:

- Drive and coordinate the coverage of Banking, Investing and Finance across Asia
- Be a thoughtful and dedicated leader determined to elevate our coverage across the region
- Work seamlessly with Team leaders across the beat to organize, plan and coordinate coverage priorities and editing resources
- Spot gaps and deliver innovative ways to improve our content and publish insightful stories
- Promote diversity of thought and representation throughout our coverage
- Build influential relationships across the newsroom to ensure our coverage captures the context of local developments and resonates globally and across all platforms

**You'll need to have**:

- At least 8 years of recent experience as a financial reporter or editor
- At least 8 years of experience in a real-time news environment
- Proven experience leading, coaching and/or developing teams in a newsroom
- Excellent news judgement and an ability to collaborate across teams and platforms
- In-depth knowledge of the financial landscape
- Strong editing and writing skills with a particular focus on accuracy, precision and speed
- An aptitude for creative story presentation and an understanding of audience development and engagement
- Fluency in both spoken and written English
- Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organisation
