Site Reliability Engineering Lead

As a **SRE Lead, **you would be able to work on and solve some of the many interesting challenges we are facing, learn new ways of working, and build delightful high-quality products for our customers.

The role will sit in the Technology Delivery and Operations space and the person will play a key role supporting and improving the code across the banking stack, primarily focussed on our microservice based platforms and solutions. Therefore, we are seeking a skilled and experienced professional who has worked in financial organisations and fintechs or start-ups.

**The Role Responsibility**:

- Team leadership of a team up to 12 people.
- Building, designing, and implementing of monitoring and alerting systems for the production and non-production environments.
- Improving the SDLC (CICD) for a test and deployment automation
- Improve system design and architecture to ensure high stability, performance, and reliability of the product (reliability engineering).
- Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams on production stability (incident and problem management) for 24x7 support
- Proactive analysis of production trends to identify improvements to maintain production reliability.
- Configuration management of the Banks assets and associated production controls automation.
- Troubleshooting and fixing customer and system issues.
- Bachelor's or a higher degree in Computer Science or related fields
- 5+ years of SRE experience as well as working with a level 1 production support team.
- Experience of working in an Agile environment
- Experience working in a banking environment

**Good to have (Optional)**:

- Related domain experience in the Fin-Tech area is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of other cloud providers i.e., GCP or Azure

**Role Specific Technical Competencies**
- Good knowledge of the SDLC and operational processes.
- Good knowledge of SQL, relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with S3, RDS and Kafka or other streaming or messaging systems. Ideally an understanding of event sourcing or CQRS
- Experience with integration i.e., REST, Webservices, Messaging
- Experience improving the SDLC via CICD.
- Experience with microservice based or distributed solutions
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes or Docker
- Experience with testing with unit, contract, and integration tests as well as reliability testing
